Map Rank Simulator

Adjust the signals that drive Google map-pack placement → see the predicted rank shift against the real competitor field → and what that placement makes recoverable. Grounded in the live Timmins "plumber" pack.

⚠ Internal tool. Real pack data (Sept 2026). Only Manito & Larry Simon named (you asked); other real competitors anonymized with their real ratings/reviews. Ranking weights & GBP impressions are illustrative until GBP Performance + rank-tracker feeds are wired.
The pack — predicted order

Real Google order is shown as #N real. Tune the ranking-factor weights (right) until predicted ≈ real — that's calibration. Note the HVAC rival: 392 reviews but low category-relevance for "plumber".

Placement model: strength = wRel·relevance + wProm·prominence + wProx·proximity + wComp·completeness; predicted rank = position by strength in the field. Recoverable = (CTR@#1 − CTR@predicted) × impressions × 0.04 × job × 12, CTR curve #1 .20 / #2 .12 / #3 .07. Real placement also depends on factors we don't model (spam, links, behavioural) — calibrate weights to the observed order. Served at localhost:5187.
